Check n Go

I was trying to resolve an issue with my account not showing up on their system. I was placed on hold for over 35 minutes.

Initially i contacted the store and was treated with such rudeness! She basically inferred that i was lying or stupid. I have been a customer of this company for 6 years. It is not my responsibility to keep your computer records straight.

To be told that i have not been in the store since 2021 when i just had to update my info for a 2nd time in jan. 2023 (because they lost the 1st updated info) is absurd.

I understand that computers make mistakes but to be talked down to is unacceptable. To be transferred and left on hold without an answer is even worse.

I got a letter saying my insurance company denied my son's surgery to remove his wisdom teeth the day before the scheduled surgery. My bank's computers were down and I was desperate.

I went into check n go on Midkiff in Midland Texas for help. I signed my life away for the next 6 months and agreed to pay back a service charge more than my whole loan. Check n go wrote me a check and I dropped it off at the bank. First issue: my bank had to hold the check for 3 days to be sure of funding.

That made me nervous but I was assured the funds would be available on Monday. So Friday I wrote a check to my son's oral surgeon. The weekend passed and Monday I just happened to look at my bank online and noticed that my balance was very low. So I looked 8ntobit and Check n Go's check was declined.

I still don't get paid for two more days and now I was in a worse bind than before. I called the location (Midkiff, Midland TX) and they told me they would get cash and I could take it directly to the bank before it closed. Then they called me at 5 and said it would be morning before the funds would be available. This whole time the associate was acting like this had never happened before.

Tuesday morning, Nov 22, they called around 11 am to say the cash was available. I had originally signed the loan on Nov 17 and the decline paper said I could only choose to decline the loan by Nov 20. My bank account was already over drafted by a scheduled payment and I was just livid. I drove to the location and the lady told me she had to wait ten minutes for the safe.

Then she asked me to step outside and locked the door to get the money. From there I took it to the bank. It has been 5 days since the loan was supposed to be funded and I already had overdraft fees to pay. And had I just held out another 12 hours my paycheck would have covered all of this stress.

At the very least I feel like the $1640.35 finance charge should be waived. I think that for all the hassle the interest rate should be lowered from 227.16% as well. Best case scenario tomorrow when my paycheck comes I could take their 2500.00 back and be free from the hassle and terrible service and lies for the next 6 months.

I expect to be contacted about this matter. It is the very worst experience I have ever had from a financial institution.

I see now that I should have read the reviews to start with.

I will definitely tell my friends and business associates that Check n Go is a waste of time and carelessly handles the customer's money. Incorrigible.

I paid off my loan April 29, 2022 in Wisconsin rapids, wi location and have the paperwork to prove it and you are still taking money out of my account for what reason??? It's illegal in so many ways!!!

I want every dime returned to me including YOUR interest rate applies ASAP! OTHERWISE being a FDIC credit union also means that it is federal involved as well!!! Also when checking credit score I see you screwed that up as well!! How do you think this is correct ina my way when on the receipt I signed at the store along with the employee giving me the copy ..

"application of payment assumes all pending payments clear" what does that mean?!? I know...do you? On THE PAID IN FULL Receipt! DO NOT have that store contact me again...

I refuse to borrow any more money since clearly this store doesn't have their *** together! Again, asap my money and your interest rate added to the sum returned to my acct!!!
